Israel
has stopped the entry of fuel to the Gaza Strip, including diesel for the
electricity company, after a fire broke out at the Kerem Shalom crossing this
morning, the crossing's Director Munir Al-Ghalban said.
Speaking to online website Al-Dakhiliyah, Al-Ghalban said the fire broke out as a
result of a technical fault while the private industrial diesel power station
was being started up at the crossing near the Israeli side.
Mohammed Ahmed Bahloul was killed while his father and a
number of Palestinian workers were wounded in the large explosion.
