Palestinian sources in occupied Jerusalem said dozens of soldiers, police and security officers invaded, overnight, dozens of homes in different parts of the city, and kidnapped 22 Palestinians, including 10 children.

Six of the kidnapped children are only 12 years of age.

The police alleges the kidnapped “participated in clashes with the army and the police in recent days.”

The abductions mainly took place in ath-Thoury, Shu’fat, and Silwan town, south of the al-Aqsa Mosque.

An Israeli police source claimed the kidnapped threw stones and Molotov cocktails, at the army, and at the light rail passing through Silwan and ath-Thoury. It added that the kidnapped Palestinians would be remanded under interrogation.

Palestinian towns and communities in occupied Jerusalem have been witnessing frequent clashes with the occupying army and police since two months after fanatic Israeli settlers kidnapped Mohammad Abu Khdeir, 16, tortured and burned him to death.

Two weeks ago, the Israeli police announced it had taken more than 600 Palestinians from occupied Jerusalem in two months.

Also on Tuesday, soldiers invaded dozens of Palestinian communities in different parts of the occupied West Bank, kidnapping ten persons.

All of the kidnapped were taken to a number of Israeli military interrogation centers.

Israeli soldiers conduct daily invasions, assaults and arrests in different parts of the occupied West Bank, including in and around occupied East Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) recently reported that the number of Palestinians held by Israel is not more than 700, including dozens of women and children, in addition to elected legislators and officials.

7500 New Settlers Moved Into West Bank, Jerusalem, Settlement In Six Months

The Yesha Council of Settlements has reported that the number of Jewish settlers living in the occupied West Bank, including in and around occupied Jerusalem, has reached 382031, adding that 7500 Israelis have moved into West Bank and Jerusalem settlements in the last six months.

Yesha said that, back in January of 2014, 374469 settlers lived in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and that the current number of settlers (382031) is a 2% increase.

It said that the biggest settlement is Beitar Illit settlement, located southwest of occupied Jerusalem, with a population of 63087 Jewish settlers.

There are more than 200.000 Israeli settlers living in various settlements in occupied East Jerusalem.

Settlements are illegal under International Law and the Fourth Geneva Convention, to which Israel is a signatory. They are largely built on privately-owned Palestinian lands, and many on what Israel calls “State Lands” which, by itself, is illegal as the West Bank and Jerusalem are under illegitimate Israeli occupation.

Israel’s settlements and its Annexation Wall continue to cause Palestinians to lose more of their lands and orchards, while vast areas of lands and orchards are now completely isolated behind the Wall.

On July 9, 2004, the International Court at The Hague issued an advisory ruling stating that the Wall Israel is building in the occupied territories is illegal and must be dismantled. The court also ruled that Palestinians affected by the construction of this Wall must be compensated. Israeli ignored the ruling.

On July 21, 2004, the UN General Assembly voted today to support the July 9 ruling by the International Court.

Israel claims that the wall meant to protect it from attackers, especially suicide bombers, but facts on the ground show that the illegal Wall is built deep inside the occupied territories, separating Palestinian villages from their surroundings and even separating the villagers from their lands.

The Wall is also built far away from the Green Line that separates ‘Israel’ from the West Bank, and is designed to enable further construction and expansion of Jewish-only settlements in occupied Palestine.

Gaza children return to school

Sunday, 14 September 2014, A new school year starts after a brutal aggression on #GazaStrip which lasted for 51 days of hell on the heads of the Gazans.
More than 122 schools were destroyed....
Thousands of school children were killed and injured during the aggression. ..
Some of the schools are still occupied with the hundreds of people who are homeless now and their houses are destroyed..
Tens of thousands of students are starting their new school year today despite all the suffering of difficulty of life they are facing these days.

First day of school year in #Gaza...
Students come to school for a new year from the middle of piles of rubble, destruction and suffering of their houses.
School students in #Gaza would have lost either their house, or a member of their family was killed.
Some of the students come to school without uniform because their houses were destroyed and they do not have any uniform...
But, despite all the suffering, they go to school to continue their education and struggle in life...

UNICEF stressed that children in Gaza are experiencing difficult living conditions. They make up around half of Gaza's population, 1.8million. UNICEF said that the Israeli occupation has destroyed the houses of more than 50,000 children.
UNICEF has said that the Israeli occupation killed around 500 Palestinian children during the war on the Gaza Strip and wounded around 3,000 others.

Chief of UNICEF's Gaza Field Office Pernille Ironside said that 469 children were killed. The number is expected to rise.
She described the effects and damage of the Israeli war on the Palestinian children as "bad," noting that nine children were killed in the last 48 hours.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced a higher number. They said that 560 children were killed and 11,000 wounded.
Meanwhile, three children were killed on Thursday in Al-Nafaq Street in the north-east of the Gaza Strip. Several international organisations said that targeting children during the war mounts to war crimes and perpetrators must be held account for them.

Human Rights Watch accuses Israel of war crimes in Gaza

(Reuters) - Human Rights Watch accused Israel of committing war crimes by attacking three U.N.-run schools in the Gaza Strip in fighting in July and August, killing Palestinian civilians who had sheltered there.
The New York-based group issued a report on Thursday that it described as the first in-depth documentation of the incidents, which took place during a 50-day conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants that ended in a ceasefire on Aug. 26.
"Three Israeli attacks that damaged Gaza schools housing displaced people caused numerous civilian casualties in violation of the laws of war," it said in the report, based on interviews with witnesses and field research in the Hamas Islamist-dominated enclave.

Israeli government and military spokesmen declined immediate comment. But during the Gaza fighting, Israel rejected preliminary Human Rights Watch findings it committed war crimes and said the group should focus on Hamas putting Palestinian civilians in harm's way by using residential areas as launching points for attacks and for weapons storage.
On Thursday, Human Rights Watch also said it was sceptical about the credibility of five criminal investigations announced by Israel's military on Wednesday into its Gaza war operations.
The organisation said 45 people, including 17 children, were killed in or near the "well-marked schools" in the strikes on July 24 in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun, on July 30 in Jabalya refugee camp and on Aug. 3 in Rafah, in the south of the enclave.

It said its inspection of the Beit Hanoun site and photographs of munitions remnants suggested Israel fired mortars at the school, killing 13 people.
The Israeli military said at the time the school was hit by errant fire and the area around the facility had been used by Palestinian fighters to launch rockets.
In the Jabalya attack, Human Rights Watch said, Israeli artillery shells killed 20 people at the school. The military said its troops had come under mortar fire from fighters in the vicinity of the building and had shot back.
Twelve people were killed at the school in Rafah, Human Rights Watch said, and an impact crater and fragments "strongly suggested" a Spike missile had been fired by an Israeli aircraft. The military said shortly after the incident that it had targeted three militants on a motorcycle near the school.
More than 2,100 Palestinians, most of them civilians, were killed in seven weeks of fighting, according to the Gaza health ministry. Sixty-seven Israeli soldiers and six civilians in Israel were killed.

A witness who arrived at the Kamal Adwan hospital after the attack told Al Jazeera: “We were sitting in the school, because we were told it is safe. “By God, there was not a single fighter, not a single shot was fired from the school. Why did they shoot at the school?  Why? Can someone explain that to me?  Why would they shell the school?”
