US refuses Abbas' initiative to end occupation

Abbas' initiative set out plans to resume negotiations with Israel within nine months and for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the occupied territories in no more than three years.

The US has rejected an initiative set out by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to set a timeframe to end the Israeli occupation, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported diplomatic sources as saying today.
The sources said the US' Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Bauer informed the group that her country "does not welcome the initiative".
Representatives of Abbas' government are in the process of conducting consultations on the initiative as a prelude to the formulation of a draft resolution to the UN Security Council for a vote after listening to the feedback of all the states prior to the annual session of the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York this month.
The sources added that permanent members of the Security Council lead by the United States "told us that they do not support the idea. Some permanent members also said they are undecided about the initiative, especially after the US' refusal of it."
Abbas' initiative set out plans to resume negotiations with Israel within nine months and for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the occupied territories in no more than three years.

ISIS Leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi Trained by Israeli Mossad, NSA Documents Reveal

The former employee at US National Security Agency (NSA), Edward Snowden, has revealed that the British and American intelligence and the Mossad worked together to create the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Snowden said intelligence services of three countries created a terrorist organisation that is able to attract all extremists of the world to one place, using a strategy called “the hornet’s nest”.
NSA documents refer to recent implementation of the hornet’s nest to protect the Zionist entity by creating religious and Islamic slogans.
According to documents released by Snowden, “The only solution for the protection of the Jewish state “is to create an enemy near its borders”.
Leaks revealed that ISIS leader and cleric Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi took intensive military training for a whole year in the hands of Mossad, besides courses in theology and the art of speech.

US shares Arab citizens' 'private' information with Israel

The intercepts included communications of Arab and Palestinian-Americans, whose relatives in Israel and the Palestinian territories could become targets based on the information
The US routinely shares private information about its citizens of Arab and Palestinian descent with Israel, the New York Times revealed yesterday.
In an Op-Ed in the newspaper, James Bamford said that the former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor Edward Snowden told him that the US "routinely passed private, unedited communications to Israel".
Documents leaked by Snowden reveal that the US passes on "unevaluated and unminimised transcripts, gists, facsimiles, telex, voice and Digital Network Intelligence metadata and content,'' to Unit 8200, an elite Israeli intelligence department.
He said the intercepts included communications of Arab and Palestinian-Americans, whose relatives in Israel and the Palestinian territories could become targets based on the information.
Whistleblower Snowdon said this is ''one of the biggest abuses we've seen", Bamford reported.
Bamford cited a memorandum of understanding between the NSA and Unit 8200 outlining transfers that have occurred since 2009.
Snowden, a former NSA contractor, is wanted by the US on espionage charges after leaking thousands of secret NSA documents.
He claimed asylum in Russia, where he has been granted a three-year residency that allows him to travel abroad.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina — An Argentine lawyer said he will file a lawsuit in federal court in Buenos Aires accusing Israel of crimes against humanity and genocide.
Carlos Slepoy told Pagina/12, a Buenos Aires newspaper, in an interview published Tuesday that the suit will be filed in the coming days in response to Israel’s 50-day operation in Gaza this summer. The suit is in conjunction with the American Association of Jurists.
The suit singles out specific Israeli leaders as being responsible both directly and non-directly for the alleged crimes, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz and Likud MK Moshe Feiglin, according to Pagina/12.
“The disproportionate number of forces and the large number of [Palestinian] victims reveals the huge crime," said Slepoy. "We will provide to the court a list with names and ages of the Palestinian kids murdered."
The number of Palestinian civilians killed during this summer's fighting is a fraught topic, with estimates ranging widely depending on which group is doing the counting.
Slepoy, who successfully opened in Argentina a trial about crimes committed in Spain during the government of Spanish dictator Francisco Franco, said he hoped that Gaza victims and human rights groups representing Gazans would join the suit.
In July, the American Association of Jurists issued a statement “strongly condemning the criminal aggression of Israel against Gaza and the occupation of Palestinian territories including East Jerusalem.”

Palestinian sources in occupied Jerusalem said dozens of soldiers, police and security officers invaded, overnight, dozens of homes in different parts of the city, and kidnapped 22 Palestinians, including 10 children.

Six of the kidnapped children are only 12 years of age.

The police alleges the kidnapped “participated in clashes with the army and the police in recent days.”

The abductions mainly took place in ath-Thoury, Shu’fat, and Silwan town, south of the al-Aqsa Mosque.

An Israeli police source claimed the kidnapped threw stones and Molotov cocktails, at the army, and at the light rail passing through Silwan and ath-Thoury. It added that the kidnapped Palestinians would be remanded under interrogation.

Palestinian towns and communities in occupied Jerusalem have been witnessing frequent clashes with the occupying army and police since two months after fanatic Israeli settlers kidnapped Mohammad Abu Khdeir, 16, tortured and burned him to death.

Two weeks ago, the Israeli police announced it had taken more than 600 Palestinians from occupied Jerusalem in two months.

Also on Tuesday, soldiers invaded dozens of Palestinian communities in different parts of the occupied West Bank, kidnapping ten persons.

All of the kidnapped were taken to a number of Israeli military interrogation centers.

Israeli soldiers conduct daily invasions, assaults and arrests in different parts of the occupied West Bank, including in and around occupied East Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) recently reported that the number of Palestinians held by Israel is not more than 700, including dozens of women and children, in addition to elected legislators and officials.

7500 New Settlers Moved Into West Bank, Jerusalem, Settlement In Six Months

The Yesha Council of Settlements has reported that the number of Jewish settlers living in the occupied West Bank, including in and around occupied Jerusalem, has reached 382031, adding that 7500 Israelis have moved into West Bank and Jerusalem settlements in the last six months.

Yesha said that, back in January of 2014, 374469 settlers lived in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and that the current number of settlers (382031) is a 2% increase.

It said that the biggest settlement is Beitar Illit settlement, located southwest of occupied Jerusalem, with a population of 63087 Jewish settlers.

There are more than 200.000 Israeli settlers living in various settlements in occupied East Jerusalem.

Settlements are illegal under International Law and the Fourth Geneva Convention, to which Israel is a signatory. They are largely built on privately-owned Palestinian lands, and many on what Israel calls “State Lands” which, by itself, is illegal as the West Bank and Jerusalem are under illegitimate Israeli occupation.

Israel’s settlements and its Annexation Wall continue to cause Palestinians to lose more of their lands and orchards, while vast areas of lands and orchards are now completely isolated behind the Wall.

On July 9, 2004, the International Court at The Hague issued an advisory ruling stating that the Wall Israel is building in the occupied territories is illegal and must be dismantled. The court also ruled that Palestinians affected by the construction of this Wall must be compensated. Israeli ignored the ruling.

On July 21, 2004, the UN General Assembly voted today to support the July 9 ruling by the International Court.

Israel claims that the wall meant to protect it from attackers, especially suicide bombers, but facts on the ground show that the illegal Wall is built deep inside the occupied territories, separating Palestinian villages from their surroundings and even separating the villagers from their lands.

The Wall is also built far away from the Green Line that separates ‘Israel’ from the West Bank, and is designed to enable further construction and expansion of Jewish-only settlements in occupied Palestine.
